Cascade AIDS Projectis excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team-oriented Emergency Rent Assistance Coordinator. This individual works in CAPs Housing and Support Services department to provide services thatinclude:completing emergency rentalassistanceapplications and CAP intakes providing information and referral goal planningadvocacyand eviction prevention services to people living with HIV.

This is a Full-Time role working at our Davis St location in the old town area of Portland The schedule for this role is Monday-Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm. This position will travel occasionally throughout the five-county service area for meetings. Evening and weekend workissometimes required. This position is fully on-site.

Starting pay is $31.85 an hour which is equivalent to just over $52998.40.The Emergency Rent Assistance Coordinators pay increases with tenure and the top of the pay scale is $36.66. This is a union represented position so the compensation benefits and conditions of work are collectively bargained.

Who You Are

• Two years professional work experience in social services
• Prior experience providing short term case management (or similar) services
• Demonstrated computerproficiencyusing Microsoft Office software (Word Excel Outlook) and working knowledge of the internet
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Successful experience working with ethnic racialeconomicand sexually diverse populations and persons who have experienced homelessness and/or persons with a mental illness and/or substance addiction
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with community stakeholders

What Youll Do

• Establish rapport with clients using a supportivestrengths-based model that promotes client self-determination and independence.
• Complete emergency rentassistanceapplications with clients and negotiate payment with clients and landlords.
• Complete comprehensive housing assessments goal planning linkage to services and advocacy for and with clients.
• Schedule and complete intake assessments for clients who wish to engage in services at CAP. Create paper files for new CAP clients.
• Work in collaboration with medical case managers medical providers or other providers involved in client care including other CAP staff to provide coordinated comprehensive care to PLWHA with a focus on housing stability.
• Makeappropriate referralsto mental health substance abuse HIV prevention or other community partners as needed to support client self-sufficiency.
