JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: Board certification in ABEM ABFM ABIM AOBEM AOBFM or AOBIM accepted; APBS/ABPS not accepted
- Licenses: Active unrestricted Mississippi medical license; Active DEA registration with Mississippi address
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Schedules II IIN III IIIN IV and V required
- Certifications: ACLS (AHA only) ATLS PALS; BLS required unless EM boarded
- Experience: Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine; residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required
- Other Qualifications: Case logs and CME/CEU documentation for the past 2 years; immunization requirements (COVID Flu Varicella MMR Tdap Hepatitis B TB testing)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive emergency medicine coverage for the ED at UMMC Greenwood Leflore
- Manage acute medical conditions and trauma cases in accordance with department protocols
- Perform required procedures and interventions as needed
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to all regulatory credentialing and compliance requirements
Required Skills:
Manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Perform non-invasive ventilation management. Collaborate with nursing and specialist teams.
