Baystate Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech)to join ourEmergency Department teamatBaystate Medical CenterinSpringfield Massachusetts. Our Emergency Department team provides care to a diverse adult patient population working closely with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe compassionate high-quality care.

Emergency Department Technician Responsibilities Include:

Patient Care & Monitoring: Provides safe compassionate age-appropriate care; obtains and documents vital signs intake/output specimens and other patient measurements; promptly reports changes in condition.

Clinical Procedures & Testing: Performs phlebotomy point-of-care testing specimen collection dressing changes and other approved clinical procedures in accordance with BMC policies.

Treatment & Provider Support: Assists RNs and providers with patient care examinations treatments procedures and emergency situations within the assigned scope of practice.

Communication & Documentation: Communicates effectively with patients families and the healthcare team and accurately documents patient care observations treatments and testing in the EMR.

Patient Safety & ED Operations: Maintains a safe clean patient environment and collaborates with the healthcare team to support patient safety teamwork and efficient Emergency Department patient flow.

Schedule Details

• Job Type:Full-Time36 hoursper week

• Shift:Day 7am-7:30pm

• Schedule:12-hour shifts

• Weekend Requirement:Every other Saturday and Sunday

• Holiday Requirements:Every other Holiday
