Job Summary

Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Location: Kayenta AZ. 86033

Pay Rate: $55 per hour travel stipends if applicable
Contract Length: 1 year with the option to extend

  • Federal contract in bidding process open for locals and travelers

Benefits: $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare 10 days PTO Accrued sick days and 11 Paid Holidays.

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurses (ER RNs) to support an IHS facility in Kayenta AZ. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical emergency care in a fast-paced clinical environment while serving Native American communities through high-quality patient-centered care.


Requirements:

  • Current active unrestricted RN license

  • Current BLS certification

  • ACLS PALS and TNCC certifications preferred

  • Strong emergency room and acute care experience preferred

  • Excellent critical thinking communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements

Responsibilities:

Provide emergency nursing care to patients with acute illnesses injuries and trauma conditions
Perform patient assessments triage monitoring and emergency interventions
Administer medications IV therapy and treatments as ordered by providers
Respond effectively to emergency and critical care situations in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with physicians specialists and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
Ensure compliance with hospital policies patient safety standards and infection control procedures
Deliver compassionate culturally sensitive care while supporting positive patient outcomes
