- Shift / Schedule: 8 AM5 PM or 7 AM6 PM

The client is seeking an Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer with a strong focus on DSP or microcontrollers for its Power Electronics and Battery Management System products. This individual will be responsible for the development implementation and validation of embedded software / firmware for power conversion and battery management systems. The role will involve DSP or microcontrollers programming testing troubleshooting and driving the adoption of model-based techniques throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
DSP or Microcontrollers Programming
- Develop and implement firmware for power electronics and battery management system products.
Testing and Troubleshooting
- Perform testing and debugging of firmware utilizing various debugging tools simulators and hardware-in-the-loop setups.
Model-Based Design
- Utilization and adoption of model-based design methodologies including simulation modeling and automatic code generation to enhance the NPI process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with hardware engineers system engineers and other cross-functional teams to design and deliver integrated solutions for power electronics and battery management system applications.
Documentation and Reporting
- Create detailed technical documentation including specifications design documents test plans and DVT reports.
- Strong C/C programming skills
- Hands-on experience with RTOS especially FreeRTOS and/or Zephyr
- Experience with STM32 MCUs and DSP (e.g. TI C2000)
- Experience with firmware design development testing and documentation
- Experience with C or C coding for DSP or microcontrollers
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in the development of embedded firmware for embedded systems
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in DSP or microcontrollers programming
- Bachelors degree with 4 years of embedded firmware/software experience (per role requirements)
