An Elementary Teachers job duties include: instruct core academic subjects (math science social studieslanguage arts) to elementary school students. Cooperating as requested in the development of annualobjectives for the school planning an instructional program which incorporates these objectivesincorporating learner objectives compatible with the subject grade level established curriculum and studentneeds assessing her instructional program to determine its effectiveness maintaining an effective program byestablishing and maintaining an adequate knowledge of subject areas and child growth and developmentensuring that the instruction materials and procedures are appropriate for the subject being taught and for theneeds of the students encouraging students parents and others to become actively involved in dailyinstructional activities assessing individual student abilities to devise techniques that will accommodatestudent differences in rates of learning styles of learning and ability levels monitoring individual studentachievement on a continuous basis employing a variety of teaching methods to meet student needs and usingprofessional classroom management techniques to maintain a suitable instructional environment.
