Position Summary

Benjamin Banneker Charter Public School seeks a passionate and dedicated educator who believes that all students can achieve at high levels. The successful candidate will create a challenging and supportive learning environment deliver high-quality instruction and contribute to a collaborative professional culture focused on student success.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred
  • Valid Massachusetts teaching license or eligibility for licensure
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices and curriculum development
  • Commitment to educational equity and culturally responsive teaching
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to use assessment data to inform instruction and accelerate student achievement
  • Experience working with diverse student populations preferred
Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging standards-based instruction aligned with state frameworks and school expectations
  • Establish and maintain a safe respectful and inclusive classroom environment
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data analysis
  • Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) coaching cycles and school-based professional development
  • Build strong partnerships with families to support student success
  • Participate actively in the schools continuous improvement efforts
  • Uphold and promote the mission values and culture of Benjamin Banneker Charter Public School
