Job Summary
River Mill Academy a public charter school located in Graham North Carolina is hiring a fourth grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. RMA participates in the state health and retirement system while offering free dental coverage. Teachers are paid on the state salary scale with a local 17% supplement while honoring masters pay.
Class sizes are capped at 24 students and classrooms in grades K-3 employ a full-time teacher assistant. Grades 4 and 5 share teacher assistants. RMA was founded as one of the original public schools in the state (1998) and has a strong academic history with minimal behavior disruptions. Our elementary classrooms are self contained and loop meaning they stay with the same cohort of students for two consecutive school years.
