Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for a special education classroom (grades 2-4) designed for students who struggle with emotional self-regulation anxiety and/or behavioral challenges.
What Youll Need
Valid New Jersey teaching certification (Special Education K-12)
Bachelors degree in a related field
Subject area certification and/or relevant classroom experience
Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and student-centered learning
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Experience with Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Self-contained teaching experience
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training in verbal de-escalation and restraint
What Youll Do
Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards
Create a safe and supportive classroom that encourages participation and curiosity
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles
Track student progress maintain accurate records and communicate updates to families and staff
Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and professional growth
