Elementary Special Education Teacher

Job Summary (Elementary Special Education Teacher Cedar Hill TX):

- Provide learning activities and experiences for special education students to support intellectual emotional physical and social growth
- Work primarily with students exhibiting externalizing behaviors with diagnoses such as autism developmental delays ADHD trauma-induced and/or sensory processing disorders
- Develop adapt and implement curricula and instructional materials according to individual student ability levels
- Prepare and deliver lessons tailored to special education students unique needs
- Collaborate closely with faculty and students parents/guardians for optimal student outcomes
- Attend meetings consistently and submit required reports in a timely manner
- Maintain effective written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills
- Utilize knowledge of ARD (Admission Review and Dismissal) Committee and IEP (Individual Education Plan) processes
- Adapt instruction based on students special needs and participate in IEP goal setting and implementation
- Meet all educational and certification requirements including a bachelors degree and valid Texas special education teaching certification
- Possess experience through student teaching approved internship or related work
