Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional to join our team as an Elementary School Counselor/Social Worker. The ideal candidate will provide support guidance and resources to students families and staff fostering a positive and inclusive school environment. This full-time position requires a strong commitment to the social emotional and academic well-being of elementary-aged children.

Requirements
- Masters degree in School Counseling Social Work or a related field.
- Valid Indiana certification or licensure as a School Counselor or Social Worker.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers administrators and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
- Implement programs and workshops focused on social skills conflict resolution and emotional regulation.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions assessments and progress.
- Advocate for students at IEP and other student focused meetings
- Participate in school meetings committees and professional development opportunities.
- Promote a safe and inclusive school culture that values diversity and equity.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in school counseling and social work.

Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or community setting is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students families and staff.
- Knowledge of child development social emotional learning (SEL) mental health issues and counseling techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to promoting diversity equity and inclusion within the school community.
- Proficiency in using technology and data management systems for record-keeping and reporting.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
