Elementary Physical Education

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with the appropriate and required endorsements.
• Must meet Highly Qualified requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and successfully with parents/guardians to support student growth.
• Willingness to commit to ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practices and student learning.

Responsibilities Include

• Develop and deliver a comprehensive physical education curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Create a positive inclusive learning environment that encourages participation teamwork and personal growth.
• Teach students fundamental physical education concepts movement skills sportsmanship and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Plan and implement activities that support physical fitness motor skill development and overall student well-being.
• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to students and families.
• Collaborate with staff parents/guardians and administration to support student success.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide activities.
• Maintain flexibility to support assigned instructional locations and district programming needs.
• Promote student safety and maintain appropriate supervision during all instructional activities.
