Elementary Paraprofessional (ART class)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Education/Certifications: Para Professional Certification or Associates degree two years of study at an institution of higher learning or have met formal academic assessment as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)

Valid Texas education aide certificate Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to assist in instructing reading writing and mathematics Ability to work well with children Ability to communicate effectively.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide engage and effective instruction to students in the art classroom. Support the preparation and organization of art materials instructional resources projects and classroom displays that showcase student work and promote creativity. Assist with classroom activities demonstrations and the supervision of students during art projects. Maintain a safe organized and inspiring learning environment including the inventory care and maintenance of art supplies equipment and tools. Record keeping grading support and preparation of required reports and documentation. Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers as needed.
