Role Purpose
Homan Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time elementary school teacher. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters the intellectual social and emotional development of students. This role requires a commitment to nurturing young minds and inspiring a love for learning while adhering to academic standards and school policies.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education or related field
- Licensure: Valid Indiana Teaching License or Certification for Elementary Education with Kindergarten Endorsement
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Foster a safe inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal assessments providing feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues specialists and parents to support student learning and address individual needs.
- Maintain classroom discipline and promote positive behavior through effective management strategies.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in teaching.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress behavior and classroom activities.
- Contribute to the school community through participation in staff meetings committees and school events.
