Elementary- Choral Accompanist 26-27

The following contract position may be available for the 26-27 school year

Ithan Elementary/Radnor Elementary/Wayne Elementary Schools

Qualifications:

• Be able to play piano at an advanced level and read 2-3 part vocal scores
• Be able to accompany chorus on piano
• Be prepared and punctual
• Able to understand and follow oral and written directions
• Possess interpersonal skills using tact patience and courtesy
• Able to work cooperatively with others
• Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

Responsibilities:

• Perform piano accompaniments for rehearsals and performances
• Fifth Grade concerts are in January (5-6 pieces)
• Fourth Grade concerts are in May (5-6 pieces)
• Both groups perform during the day at an all-school assembly (time may vary according to building) as well as an evening concert at 7 PM
• Play individual parts together or alone for rehearsals
• Be able to follow directors conducting and intentions

Time Requirements:

• There are 5-6 rehearsals at each building spanning from late December through January
• Wayne 10:50-11:40
• Radnor 10:40-11:30
• Ithan 2:45-3:35
• There are 5-6 rehearsals in each building spanning from late April through May
• Wayne 11:45-12:25
• Radnor 11:30-12:20
• Ithan 2:45-3:35
• There are two concerts at each building (an all-school assembly and an evening concert at 7 PM). All-school assembly times may vary by building but are usually held in the afternoon
• Accompanist would be needed at least a half hour prior to start of concert.

Hourly Rate: $25.00
