1. State of Ohio Principals Certificate
2. Valid drivers license

General Description:
1. To cooperatively work with the principal in the maintenance of appropriate instructional and extra-curricular programs for the benefit of students.
2. To assist the principal by carrying out designated duties in
directing the daily activities of the staff and students.
3. Shall act in the capacity of the principal during his/her
absence from duty. The assistant principal shall become
familiar with all phases of the school program.
4. Demonstrate aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned
Essential Functions:
- Assist the principal in the general administration of the school including but not limited to school transportation cafeteria custodial services and secretarial staff.
- Supervise student conduct/discipline by enforcing the Cloverleaf Board of Educations code of conduct.
- Supervise student attendance according to the policy in the code of conduct.
- Supervise the security of the building during the school day.
- Help the principal in the preparation and review of the code of conduct teachers handbook master schedule and student registration booklet.
- Assist the principal in the observation supervision and evaluation of the staff.
- Assist the principal with the planning and organization of the opening and closing of the school year.
- Assist the district administrative team in establishing and maintaining positive school/community relations.
- Assist the high school administrative team in the coverage of extra-curricular activities.
- Work with the special education director and guidance department in the appropriate placement of students.
- Perform additional activities as assigned by the building principal.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens andas responsible intelligent human beings.
- Help instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles anddemocratic values.
- Conduct other duties related to the assistant principals duties as assigned by the principal or local superintendent.
Additional Working Conditions:
- Occasional exposure to blood bodily fluids and tissue.
- Occasional interaction among unruly children.
Terms of Employment:
Salary and work year to be established by the board.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job shall be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the boards policy on administrative personnel.
