Electronics Assembly and Test Technician

We are seeking an Electronics Assembly and Test Technician in Oak Ridge to perform critical assembly testing and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical systems in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Under general supervision you will handle assembly testing and repair of electronic and mechanical components and systems. This role involves following detailed engineering drawings and test procedures to ensure products meet quality and performance standards across diverse product lines.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and troubleshooting of electronic and electro-mechanical systems using diagnostic tools.
• Execute precision soldering and rework of electronic assemblies as needed.
• Conduct inspections of subassemblies and finished products to verify compliance with quality and engineering requirements.
• Complete accurate production quality and test documentation for traceability.
• Assist Engineering with prototype assembly integration testing and evaluation.
• Maintain organized and clean work areas to support a professional manufacturing environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Experience testing mechanical parts and electronic components per manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to perform sub-assembly and process assembly inspections.
• Skill in testing and troubleshooting completed instruments through QA/QC processes.
• Proficiency in completing production and quality documentation.
• Ability to assist Engineering with prototype building and testing.
• Commitment to quality and engineering standards.
• Skill in inspecting and documenting completed assembly work.
• Ability to meet work quotas while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts.
