Electro-Mechanical Test Technician

Join our team in Oak Ridge as an Electro-Mechanical Test Technician where your skills in equipment setup calibration and troubleshooting will be essential to manufacturing success.

Under general supervision you will perform a wide range of electro-mechanical activities including testing troubleshooting and repair of electronic and mechanical assemblies and integrated systems. You will follow detailed test specifications engineering drawings and schematics to ensure product performance and quality compliance.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems using specialized test equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
• Perform precision soldering and rework of electronic assemblies as required.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of subassemblies and completed products to verify compliance with quality and engineering standards.
• Document test results and technical findings accurately to maintain full traceability.
• Assist with the selection setup and maintenance of specialized test equipment and fixtures to support production activities.
• Support Engineering with assembly integration testing and evaluation of prototype units and new product development.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Experience testing bare and assembled mechanical parts and electronic components following manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to perform sub-assembly and process assembly inspections.
• Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting completed instruments through QA/QC processes.
• Capability to complete production and quality-related documentation accurately.
• Ability to assist Engineering with building and testing prototypes.
• Commitment to perform work in accordance with quality and engineering standards.
• Skill in inspecting and documenting completed assembly work.
• Ability to meet work quotas while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a professional environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
