Job Summary

SUMMARY

The maintenance technician will conduct day to day maintenance and preventative maintenance operations on all AlloyWorkss production equipment and plant facilities. Their responsibility is to ensure safe and productive operations minimize downtime to facilitate in delivering products that meet customer and quality requirements on time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as well as other duties that may be assigned.

  • Must adhere to safe working policies and procedures
  • Actively participate and support safety initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable OSHA (federal and state) company and environmental policies and procedures
  • Plant mechanic with focus on preventative and repair maintenance on production machinery motors conveyors electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Install parts/instruments according to schematics or operation manual
  • Follow blueprints sketches job requests code book or operation manuals
  • Maintain records of PM and unscheduled maintenance work
  • Order parts or supplies when necessary
  • Assist production as necessary to maintain material throughput
  • Assist production as needed with equipment set-ups or root cause analysis
  • Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with management and production team to maximize utilization of plant equipment and operating efficiency

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma and/or GED; 2-year ElectroMechanical or Electrical Degree preferred
  • 2 years experience as an Electromechanical Tech in an industrial/manufacturing environment OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of motor control circuits and/or PLCs
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of best practices for safe rigging and below the hook practices
  • Firm grasp of health and safety codes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proven ability to plan and complete projects and assignments from conception to completion
  • Ability to work with contractors of various craft
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed
