Electrician

Amentum is seeking an Electrician to inspect repair replace install adjust maintain and make necessary tests on all electrical systems and equipment 600v or less throughout the facilities.

Work Schedule: Monday Thursday 4:30pm 2:30am

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include the following:

• Work from prints diagrams specification and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs; as well as demolition installation testing and inspection of work to be done on electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance repair or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems.
• Analyze troubleshoot modify install and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints diagrams and test instruments.
• Test inspect clean repair dismantle adjust replace assemble maintain and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems electrical equipment transformers switchgear control panels regulators and various other electrical apparatus.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems equipment as required for maintenance programs on the basis of all information obtained through tests.
• Install conduit wiring and electrical apparatus.
• Read blueprints and generate bill of materials.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain part and tool inventories.
• Directs other repair personnel as assigned.

JOB POSITION: Local 99 Electrician Grade 1

Work Environment Physical Demands and Mental Demands:

Incumbents may work in conditions that require operating industrial machinery/power tools and motor vehicles. Additionally incumbents may participate in work that requires walking bending squatting and carrying materials throughout the facility. Workplace conditions necessitate following strict safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Work tasks requiring the incumbent to lift weight more than 50 pounds requires two or more persons.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):

• Journeyman Electrical License.
• Thorough working knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
• Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
• A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary including days evenings and nights as well as overtime weekends and holidays as required.
• Four years maintenance and/or construction experience in the electrical trade required.
• High school technical school apprenticeship trade school graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Security Clearance Required: - Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Minimum Education: High school GED technical school apprenticeship trade school graduate or equivalent required.

Minimum Years of Experience: Four years maintenance and/or construction experience in the electrical trade required.

Required Certifications: Journeyman Electrical License

This position is designated as a safety sensitive position.
