Electrician (Low Voltage Building Automation)

Job Summary
DIRECT HIRE: Seeking an entry-level Low Voltage Electrician with 13 years of experience to support the installation of Building Automation Systems. This role involves installing conduit pulling and terminating low-voltage wiring mounting control devices and working alongside experienced automation professionals to complete commercial HVAC control projects safely and efficiently.

Pay: $28 - $35/hour

- Install electrical conduit wiring and Building Automation System components.
- Measure cut bend thread assemble and install electrical conduit.
- Pull label and terminate low-voltage wiring.
- Mount and terminate BAS devices including:
- Temperature sensors
- Relays
- Electronic actuators
- Control panels
- Ensure concealed wiring is installed before walls ceilings and flooring are completed.
- Read and interpret electrical mechanical and construction drawings.
- Prepare as-built sketches showing wiring and equipment locations.
- Coordinate work with other trades on active construction sites.
- Attend project meetings as required.
- Maintain compliance with local electrical codes company standards and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors project managers and team members.
- Work independently and collaboratively to complete projects on schedule.
- Work overtime varied shifts and travel occasionally as project needs require.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical school or trade school education preferred.
- 13 years of electrical or low-voltage installation experience.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and Building Automation Systems is a plus.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Travel between job sites and overtime may be required depending on project demands.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic math skills including fractions ratios percentages and measurements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and safe tool operation
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand walk bend kneel crawl crouch and climb for extended periods.
- Lift and carry 50150 pounds as required.
- Work in confined spaces and at varying heights.
- Maintain good vision and hearing.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
