Tekberry is seeking an experienced Electrician II to support our client Stanford University within Energy Operations. This role performs journey-level electrical work involving the installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the Stanford campus.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills experience working independently in commercial or institutional environments and knowledge of electrical safety standards and code compliance.

• Install maintain troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment
• Maintain light and power circuits motors transformers controls lighting fixtures communication systems and related electrical infrastructure
• Diagnose electrical issues including short circuits grounds and system failures
• Install conduits wiring switches transformers pull boxes and related components
• Repair and replace defective electrical equipment and components
• Troubleshoot single-phase and three-phase motors and associated equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Follow Stanford Electric Safety and Operations Program (ESOP) standards and all Cal-OSHA safety requirements
• Operate electrical tools hand tools lifts and related equipment safely
• Support campus-wide maintenance and operational projects as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4 5 years of journey-level electrician experience
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Practical electrical theory
  • National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Cal-OSHA electrical safety standards
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair
• Experience with:
  • Commercial or institutional electrical systems
  • 1-phase and 3-phase motor troubleshooting
  • Electrical construction maintenance and operations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Valid California Drivers License with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work overtime and respond to callbacks as needed

• Knowledge of NFPA 70E standards
• CPR Certification
• Experience operating scissor lifts and boom lifts
• Experience working in higher education healthcare utilities or large campus environments

• 100% onsite role supporting facilities across Stanford campus
• Frequent standing walking climbing ladders kneeling bending stooping and working above shoulder level
• Ability to work at heights and in restricted spaces
• Outdoor work and exposure to varying environmental conditions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
• Occasional seated computer-based work
