Electrician Journeyman

Amentum is seeking an Electrician-Journeymanjoin our team in Springfield VA and support our government customer! As an Electrician-Journeyman you willinspect repair replace install adjust maintain and make necessary tests on all electrical systems and equipment 600v or less throughout the facilities.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Work from prints diagrams specification and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs; as well as demolition installation testing and inspection of work to be done on electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance repair or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems.
• Analyze troubleshoot modify install and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints diagrams and test instruments.
• Test inspect clean repair dismantle adjust replace assemble maintain and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems electrical equipment transformers switchgear control panels regulators and various other electrical apparatus.
• Utilize a thorough working knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems equipment as required for maintenance programs on the basis of all information obtained through tests.
• Install conduit wiring and electrical apparatus.
• Read blueprints and generate bill of materials.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.
• Maintain part and tool inventories.
• Must have a Journeyman Electrical License

Minimum requirements:

• Four years maintenance and/or construction experience in the electrical trade required.
• A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary including days evenings and nights as well as overtime weekends and holidays as required.
• High school technical school apprenticeship trade school graduate or equivalent required
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
