JOBSUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager the Electrician is responsible formaintainingrepairing all existing electrical equipment in production areas and troubleshooting PLCs while ensuring all company safety rules and policies are followed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Comply withCompanySafety Policies
Maintain and repair all existing electrical equipment in production areas and troubleshooting PLCs by utilizing ladder diagrams and schematics.
Utilize troubleshooting techniques to analyze detect and determine the nature of a problem and extent of repairs required
Actively participate in the preventative maintenance program
Perform Electrical preventative maintenance of electrical control panels and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety standards
Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies by utilizing lean and 5s principles
Follow and enforce company safety policies and procedures always and operatewidevariety of manufacturing tools
Work with company engineering on electrical upgrade and new equipmentinstalls
Capable of utilizing mobileequipment:pallet jack forkliftscissor liftboom lift
Execute electrical related inspections and report accordingly
Runconduit and electrically terminate wiring in industrial equipment interpretinput output modules and operate a variety of tools and equipment in a safe manner
Must place theupmost importanceon working safely and maintain a safe work environment for self and others always
Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be well organized and able to complete and perform work orders
Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC hardware and Software
Basic knowledge of Siemens PLC hardware and software
Basic knowledge of Gas burner controls
Good knowledge of windows Microsoft Office (excel word power point etc.)
Ability to read and interpret diagrams schematics and motor controls
Team player reliable and high work integrity
Good communication skills
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade
1 - 2 years experience in a relevant field
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
Working near moving mechanical parts
Loud noise
Exposure to airborne particles within a manufacturing operation
Lifting heavy materials up to 50 pounds
Climb and work occasionally at heights
General manufacturing environment
May require overtime work as necessary
Must be flexible to work any shift and/or weekends as scheduled
Ability to stoop bend walk stand sit reach and climb
Will be expected to conduct all assigned tasks scheduled by supervisor
Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
Ability to work around dust chemicals and other substances and in various environmental conditions
Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing vision and hardhat protection)

$35.06 per hour Bonuses
The pay range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and
highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including
market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge
experience and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company.
Depending on the position offered sign on payments and other forms
of compensation may be offered as part of a total compensation
package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
