• Provides maintenance and repair of electrical systems and components including but not limited to wiring lighting nurse call fire alarm pneumatic tube intercom etc.
• Troubleshoots to identify hazards or malfunctions and repairs or replaces damaged parts and equipment.
• Maintains system integrity by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring insulated cables cleaning circuits; ensuring breaker and panel labeling spare breakers in the off position panels locked.
• Performs testing and inspections and maintains records for emergency back-up systems as required by NFPA and The Joint Commission.
• Performs preventive maintenance as needed.
• Responds to trouble calls work requests and emergency situations.
• Performs minor maintenance of plumbing mechanical equipment HVAC systems structures and other general maintenance.
• Assists department colleagues of all trades.
• Utilizes the CMMS work order system and documents time and work completion in a timely manner.
• Maintains inventory and acquires parts as needed to perform repairs.

• High School Diploma/GED with required years of experience or
• Technical School Diploma in related field
• 3 years experience as a commercial electrician or
• Less than 1 year with Technical School Diploma
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints
• Ability to determine causes of operating errors
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of electrical systems electrical codes and safety regulations
• General knowledge in electrical control communication and power distribution systems
• DL - Drivers LicensePA - State of Pennsylvania

• 3 years electrical experience in a hospital setting
