What this job involves:

As an Electrician at JLL you will be a critical technical expert responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems across large-scale manufacturing facilities. This hands-on role focuses on maximizing wrench time and ensuring the reliable operation of industrial electrical equipment and power distribution systems. Youll work in a dynamic environment where your electrical expertise and multi-skilled capabilities will be essential to completing daily work assignments and responding to critical facility needs. Youll collaborate with maintenance teams facility coordinators and client operations to implement preventive maintenance strategies and resolve complex electrical challenges. This position offers opportunities to work with advanced electrical systems develop specialized skills and grow within JLLs operations network while supporting world-class manufacturing operations.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Maintain troubleshoot and repair electrical/instrumentation/control building equipment and systems required to operate large manufacturing facilities
  • Plan and execute assembly installation testing maintenance and repair of electrical apparatus control equipment and industrial power distribution systems including generating equipment panels automatic switches variable frequency drives circuit breakers transformers substations and alarms
  • Diagnose and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors and other equipment while reading and interpreting blueprints wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
  • Anticipate potential electrical problems and take proactive actions to maximize the condition of facility structures and electrical assets
  • Document all work performed accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) including hours required and completion details by required deadlines
  • Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine safe environmentally compliant approaches to assignment completion
  • Maintain work area and equipment in safe efficient and clean operating condition while strictly adhering to all safety rules and regulations

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or state equivalent required
  • Two years of electrical trade schooling or equivalent training/apprenticeship
  • Strong knowledge of electrical/instrumentation/control systems in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and local electrical codes
  • Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools work on ladders carry tools lift and carry heavy loads and operate required equipment
  • Ability to work in confined spaces (closets crawl spaces attics vaults) and on building roofs
  • Available for call-in work 24 hours per day and able to work in all weather conditions
  • Availability to work overtime weekends and pre/post scheduled hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical certification
  • Experience with complex electrical systems in pharmaceutical automotive or large-scale manufacturing facilities
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and digital work order documentation
  • Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and building automation systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to produce clear oral and written reports
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with other trades
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial electrical equipment and power distribution systems

Union Affiliation: This is a union position represented by the United Auto Workers (UAW). Compensation and benefits are determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
