Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add an Electrical/Controls Engineer to their Houston team!
Responsibilities:
Lead design efforts for projects
Provide constructability review for electrical and automation design documents
Provide quality and coordination review of shop drawing and O&M submittals
Mentor/train junior staff
Design electrical distribution systems (including one-line diagrams plan drawings panel schedules and equipment elevations)
Design automation controls and related SCADA systems for water/wastewater processes (including communications PLC architecture instrumentation and related software and hardware)
Prepare specifications (electrical instrumentation and process controls)
Prepares Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Prepares detailed control panel wiring schematics panel layouts bills of material communication diagrams etc.
Review instrumentation/control system submittal packages
Review/update design standards to ensure compliance with applicable codes industry standards and good engineering practice
Visit job sites on occasion
Requirements:
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
6 years of Electrical/Controls Engineer experience
PE License preferred
Advanced computer skills required
Experience in AutoCAD and Visio preferred
Salary is commensurate with experience.
