Job Summary

We are interested in speaking with experienced Electrical Superintendents for current and upcoming construction projects across Charlotte and the wider Carolinas.

These opportunities may support data centres advanced manufacturing industrial facilities healthcare commercial construction or other technically demanding environments.

The focus is simple: safe delivery strong field leadership and high-quality electrical installation.

The role

Electrical Superintendents in these positions may be responsible for:

  • Leading electrical construction activity across assigned areas of a project.
  • Managing foremen electricians subcontractors and field resources.
  • Planning manpower materials tools and equipment.
  • Coordinating work with project managers engineers and other trades.
  • Reviewing construction drawings specifications and installation details.
  • Monitoring progress against programme and productivity targets.
  • Identifying site issues before they affect cost or schedule.
  • Maintaining quality standards throughout installation.
  • Supporting inspections testing commissioning and project close-out.
  • Leading toolbox talks safety meetings and daily coordination sessions.
  • Enforcing site rules electrical safety requirements and approved work methods.
  • Reporting clearly on progress risks and resource requirements.

Project scope may include:

  • Low-voltage and medium-voltage distribution.
  • Transformers and switchgear.
  • Generators and UPS systems.
  • Grounding and bonding.
  • Lighting and controls.
  • Cable containment and feeder installation.
  • Building-management and monitoring interfaces.
  • Testing energisation and commissioning.

What makes a strong candidate

Employers will typically look for someone who has progressed through the electrical trade and developed into a confident field leader.

Relevant experience may include:

  • Electrical Superintendent or General Foreman responsibility.
  • Leading large electrical crews.
  • Commercial industrial or mission-critical construction.
  • Fast-track or phased project delivery.
  • Labour planning and productivity management.
  • Coordination with multiple trades and subcontractors.
  • Quality control and punch-list management.
  • Working within demanding safety and compliance environments.

You should be comfortable making decisions on site resolving practical problems and holding teams accountable to programme quality and safety expectations.

Qualifications

A recognised electrical apprenticeship trade qualification licence or equivalent field experience may be required depending on the employer.

Supervisory safety or project-leadership qualifications may also be beneficial.

Location

Opportunities will be centred around Charlotte with some projects extending into nearby areas of North Carolina and South Carolina.

Candidates based in Charlotte Concord Gastonia Huntersville Rock Hill Fort Mill or surrounding locations may be suitable.

Some positions may require regional travel extended project assignments or occasional weekend work.

Compensation

Base salary bonus vehicle allowance per diem travel support and benefits will vary depending on the employer project type and level of responsibility.
