Group/Division

The KLA Services team consists of Service Sales Marketing Spares Supply Chain Management Field Operations Engineering Product Training Digital Solutions and Analytics and Technical Product Support. Our services organization maximizes the value of our customers KLA assets with highly trained service and product support engineers providing installation services and 24/7 technical support and parts delivery through our extensive supply chain network.

What Youll Do

In this role you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Perform hands-on diagnosis troubleshooting and repair of complex electronics at the PCB and board level to support KLA products throughout their lifecycle. This role requires strong technical capability in PCBA failure analysis the ability to work through circuit-level problems with limited design documentation and close collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver timely high-quality repair solutions

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot defective PCBAs using oscilloscopes multimeters logic analyzers and related lab equipment
• Conduct PCBA design analysis (reverse engineering) to understand circuit intent and failure modes building toward reverse engineering capability
• Troubleshoot PCBA issues with limited or no design documentation applying critical thinking and systematic debugging techniques
• Perform board-level failure analysis on analog digital and mixed-signal circuits working with senior engineers when issues span sub-system boundaries
• Support the development of board diagnosis troubleshooting and repair plans including contributing to approach definition timeline estimation and identification of technical dependencies
• Support engineering change orders (ECOs) with technical justification and cross-functional coordination
• Contribute to root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation with increasing independence on moderate-complexity problems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems software manufacturing service supply chain) to support issue resolution
• Support technical engagement with external vendors on issue resolution and repair readiness
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including test procedures troubleshooting guides and repair records.
• Engage with suppliers to train them on board troubleshooting repair execution trainings
• Communicate progress findings and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Work effectively with junior and senior team members in a collaborative environment
• Travel for escalations as needed primarily to Singapore and China

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering or related discipline
• 7 years of experience in electronics develop sustaining engineering or boardlevel subsystem support
• Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex board and subsystem level issues
• Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design principles and handson PCBA troubleshooting
• Proven experience driving rootcause analysis corrective actions and ECO execution
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence crossfunctional teams

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters Level Degree and 3 years related work experience; Bachelors Level Degree and related work experience of 5years; or equivalent work experience

Total Rewards

Base Pay Range: $117800.00 - $172800.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
