We are seeking anElectrical Engineer III to lead and manage complex power systems projects that directly impact large-scale midstream operations. They will apply advanced technical expertise to design power solutions troubleshoot infrastructure challenges and drive energy innovation. This role requires a balance of deep technical acumen in high-voltage power distribution and disciplined project leadership blending hands-on engineering design with cross-functional team coordination and stakeholder presentations.
Key Responsibilities
Architect implement and optimize robust electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting midstream infrastructure including pipelines compressor stations and storage facilities.
Champion the integration of advanced electrical technologies real-time power monitoring networks and utility-scale energy storage systems to enhance performance and lower operating costs.
Engineering: Implement rigorous safety measures across facilities conducting and reviewing arc flash mitigation studies and designing advanced fault detection systems to protect field personnel.
Provide definitive technical expertise in drafting electrical schematics single-line diagrams and physical system layouts for both greenfield construction and legacy facility upgrades.
Oversee complex electrical engineering projects from initial scoping through final execution ensuring strict alignment with corporate business goals timelines and budget caps.
Enure absolute compliance across all electrical designs and field installations with safety environmental and industry-specific regulatory standards (e.g. NEC NEMA API IEEE).
Partner with multidisciplinary engineering squads operational stakeholders and project managers to deliver cohesive technical solutions that meet internal and external client needs.
Conduct rigorous power system design analysis and transient simulations using specialized analytical engineering platforms (such as ETAP MATLAB PSCAD or Simulink).
Evaluate and specify high-voltage capital equipment including large-scale power transformers industrial generators switchgear and motor control centers (MCCs).
Procurement & Vendor Management: Support technical procurement workflows for long-lead electrical materials leveraging industry contacts to evaluate source and audit reliable equipment vendors and suppliers.
Lead the field testing pre-commissioning and startup phases of newly installed electrical infrastructure to verify proper operational functionality and design compliance.
Support the high-level design and field integration interfaces for localized instrumentation Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) packages.
