Field-based electrical engineer providing on-site construction support for a large compressor station project with constrained utility power and interim power bridge/on-site generation needs. This is an execution and field-integration role not a design position requiring strong construction experience working NEC knowledge and the ability to resolve electrical issues in real time.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the owners on-site electrical rep ensuring field installations (compressor buildings E-houses switchgear MCCs grounding lighting) align with construction drawings one-lines and NEC requirements
Own electrical RFIs and field issue resolution track from question to closure escalate safety/cost/schedule risks
Support field integration of large rotating equipment electrical scope: cable tray routing terminations equipment interface coordination
Support installation and tie-in of temporary power bridge/on-site generation systems including grounding and protection system integration
Verify NEC compliance across grounding conductor sizing labeling clearances and temporary power connections
Maintain redlines/as-builts and support job books test records punch lists and turnover documentation
Flag schedule-impacting electrical constraints and support change order evaluation
Coordinate daily across construction management inspectors engineering and vendors
Required Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering plus hands-on electrical construction experience
Experience supporting large rotating equipment electrical installations
Experience with on-site power generation or temporary power systems
Working field-applicable NEC knowledge
RFI redline punch list and turnover documentation experience
Able to work full-time on-site
Preferred Qualifications:
Compressor station or similar large industrial infrastructure experience
Experience with generator/switchgear/MCC/protection system interfaces
Experience supporting late-stage design changes on accelerated schedules
Prior owners field representative experience
