Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer (EWISTL) Junior supports engineering testing and evaluation activities for advanced electronic and radio frequency (RF) systems. This role involves developing engineering procedures troubleshooting system issues supporting testing activities collaborating with technical teams and ensuring system performance while working with sophisticated RF equipment and electronic test systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support engineering teams in developing engineering procedures and controls.
- Assist in planning coordinating and executing engineering projects.
- Troubleshoot electrical and RF systems to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare equipment and systems for testing activities.
- Operate and utilize RF stimulators and electronic test equipment.
- Conduct system testing and support engineering evaluations.
- Collaborate with engineers technicians contractors vendors and government representatives.
- Assist with project scheduling planning and technical coordination.
- Analyze system performance and recommend technical improvements.
- Work with Linux operating systems and RF components.
- Maintain engineering documentation and technical records.
- Support laboratory and engineering test operations.
- Follow engineering standards safety procedures and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with active and passive RF components.
- Experience using electronic test equipment including signal generators spectrum analyzers network analyzers RF amplifiers and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Knowledge of RF theory is preferred.
- Experience with MATLAB is preferred.
- Experience with RF stimulators/simulators is preferred.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a technical team environment.
