Job Summary

Automation systems company in the Atlanta metro area needs an Electrical Controls Engineer.

Using your knowledge of EPLAN (preferred but not required) you will work on the with cross-functional teams to develop control system architectures for material handling equipment and robotic applications.
Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure the manufacturing of electrical cabinets adheres to NEC (NFPA70) UL508/UL508A and other applicable industry standards.
Generate documentation for subsystems including the electrical cabinets.
Design and program Safety PLCs HMIs and/or motion control systems.

Qualifications :

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or similar.
Five years of experience in robotics industrial automation or electrical controls engineering.
Experience with industrial electrical design and PLC programming with Allen-Bradley Rockwell or Siemens controls.
Proficiency with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP PROFINET TCP/IP MODBUS IO-Link
Position requires some travel to domestic customer sites about 20-30%
