What Youll Do:
The role requires strong technical skills in electrical civil and structural principles with a focus on accuracy compliance with codes and utilizing equipment specs.
Focus of role will be utilizing software (PV case PV Farm SAM PVsyst) for designing optimizing and creating detailed technical plans for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Create PV layouts with to support the electrical design of the project in collaboration with other disciplines.
Perform electrical blocking and MV routing for PV design
Assist with generation of single line diagrams
Evaluating design alternatives to solve constructability code and site challenges.
Utilize AutoCAD to produce engineered construction plans and sheet set ups including plan views sections elevations and details
Must-Haves:
Associate or Technical Degree in CAD Survey Construction or Engineering or B.S. in Engineering Technology or Construction related fields from an accredited institution or acceptable equivalent.
8 years of experience.
Ability to lead design projects mentor junior staff and maintain design standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
