Job Summary
Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Location: Eagle Mountain UT - Onsite
Rate: $58/hr (24-month contract)

Experience: 4 years in electrical commissioning or power systems
Education: Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (ABET) or Engineering Technology P.E.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and execute electrical commissioning testing and startup of power systems (switchgear transformers generators MV/LV distribution).
Perform insulation/hi-pot relay and functional testing; use Omicron Doble Megger or similar.
Validate protection coordination short-circuit and arc-flash studies against as-built conditions.
Support FAT/SAT PSSR loop checks and final turnover documentation (ITRs test records redlines).
Troubleshoot field issues coordinate with construction controls and operations and manage vendor testing.

Proficiency with ETAP SKM PSCAD MATLAB or similar power-analysis tools.

Ability to read one-line diagrams schematics and control wiring.
Familiarity with NEC NFPA 70E and IEEE safety standards.
