Job Summary:

Salas OBrien is seeking an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the design of various electrical systems including but not limited to PLC control systems SCADA/HMI solutions low-voltage power distribution networking and communications design and process controls design within industrial and utility infrastructure spaces.

Job duties include:

• Execute projects with involvement from conceptual design through completion working with other engineers and design team members.
• Leverage knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) power distribution network architecture design and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
• Perform calculations integral to the electrical systems design.
• Design systems in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC NFPA70)
• Prepare instrumentation datasheets and maintain an up-to-date instrument list.
• Participate in and support design and/or coordination reviews with clients and other project team members.
• Collaborate with and support engineers and project managers across various projects.
• Work closely with vendors to support vendor-submitted data for technical reviews and production.
• Oversee assigned project efforts to ensure adherence to budget and schedule.
• Capable of increasing technical competency with experience and work ethic.
• The position requires travel up to 20% of the time to various unanticipated client locations throughout the United States

Minimum Qualifications:

• U.S. Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering Electrical Engineering Physics or a related field or the foreign degree equivalent
• 2 years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of industrial manufacturing facilities and utility infrastructure spaces
• Experience with industrial instrumentation and controls
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word Access and Excel
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT is preferred but not required
