The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for Electrical Assembler to join our team. The Assembler is responsible for assembling complex fuel control units for gas turbine engines. This position is for weekend days Fri-Sun 6:00 AM 6:00 PM.
Follow manufacturing planning for instructions and inspection requirements.
Perform wire cutting stripping dressing ends and other simple cable operations.
Solder wires and other electronic components.
Perform assembly operations or inspection under microscope and/or magnifying device as required.
Assemble bearings pistons O-rings seals springs etc. into machined housings.
Verify dimensions and or performance using standard measuring instruments.
Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work including as a minimum all elements defined in the Companys Quality Policy.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of experience with mechanical and electrical assemblies
At least 1 year of experience using precision tools fixtures and measuring equipment
Ability to read understand and accurately interpret basic blueprint drawings and follow written instructions
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a team environment
Ability to perform detailed work requiring fine motor skills
Must be capable of passing Ishihara Color Blindness (14 plates) and Jaeger Level 1 vision testing
Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum).
U.S. Citizenship required
Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
