Job Description

The Avionics Technicianis responsible forbuilding inspecting andmaintainingcomplex electrical and avionics systems that enable aerospace vehicles and payloads to function reliably. This role involves hands-on electronics assembly system troubleshooting inspections and close collaboration with engineering teams to support development integration and launch operations.

Role Responsibilities
  • Responsible for building and inspectingcomplexelectrical systems that allow the craft tofunction.

  • Assemble and install electrical components whilemaintainingdetailed andaccuratewritten documentation.

  • Maintain and improve existing avionics systems through modifications upgrades and bug fixes.

  • Support engineers with instrument development troubleshooting testing and project execution.

  • Provide technical support for payload integration activities and launch operations as needed.

  • Perform inspections on work completed by other technicians using documented procedures specifications drawings and engineering instructions.

  • Follow standard manufacturing and quality processes including engineering evaluation/change requests and use of standard manufacturing data systems.

  • Ensure compliance with safety quality and workmanship standards throughout all phases of work.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years as an Avionics Technician or related experience; technician experience on aerospace vehiclesis stronglypreferred.

  • Associate 2-yeardegree in electronics or related field is orequivalent trainingobtainedthroughmilitaryservice.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently perform electronics assembly tasks wire harnessing including soldering crimping coating and circuit testing

  • Proficiencyin soldering techniques including solder cups surface-mount PDBs and wire splicing.

  • Familiarity with IPC standards is a plus.

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with engineers technicians and other stakeholders.
