In this position...

You will be a key member of the Electronics Platform Architecture organization in the Architecture Integration team. The Architecture Integration team owns definition of the complete vehicle electrical architecture. We work with various teams including the Tech Platform Program (TPP) program system software teams various ECU delivery teams and the vehicle architecture teams to fully define the architectural content of the platform and for each program. Key work areas for the team include developing a comprehensive architectural specification for upcoming (yet to launch) vehicle programs and work with various functional teams to validate and document Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Your team is responsible defining the evolution of Fords electrical architectures.

What youll do...

• Own the definition of the core vehicle electrical hardware architecture for each vehicle program from program creation through post launch.

• Capture the content of the electrical and software architecture for defining updates to the platform to support program specific features and functions and for leading the resolution of architectural issues on the programs.

• Work with various functional teams on the electrical architectural KPIs such as packaging manufacturing latency power utilization (including Key-Off Load) network bandwidth CPU Utilization etc.

• Resolve electrical architectural issues from pre-launch through post launch of the new programs and architecture.

• Design the future computing platforms tying into the overall sophisticated EE architectures that drive the company.

• Be involved Fords development of sophisticated computing solutions for our next generation EE architectures.

Youll have...

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

• 3 years of experience with automotive electrical architectures

• 1 years of experience with automotive microcontrollers and/or microprocessors (coursework/internship/co-op experience allowed)

• 1 years of experience with simulation tools including MATLAB Simulink etc.

• Strong analytical skills to break down problems and design effective solutions within the model.

Even better you may have...

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Compute Engineering

• 5 years experience with automotive electrical architectures

• 3 years experience with simulation tools including MATLAB Simulink etc.

• Detailed understanding of vehicle electrical systems and electrical design/development process including GPDS

• Experience with automotive and/or other advanced networking

• Familiarity with ISO 26262

• Familiarity with vehicle I/O

• Excellent written oral and interpersonal communication skills effectively explaining complex subjects to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This position is a salary grade of 6 to 8 and ranges from $74300 - $166200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidates skills and experience and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope responsibility and competitive market value.
