• Plan and deliver engaging standards-based English Language Arts instruction aligned with district curriculum and Kansas College and Career Ready Standards.
• Teach reading writing speaking listening language and vocabulary skills using research-based instructional practices.
• Foster critical thinking through literature analysis informational text writing discussion and inquiry-based learning.
• Create a safe positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the academic social emotional and developmental needs of all learners.
• Utilize instructional technology to enhance student learning and communication.
• Monitor student progress through formal and informal assessments and use data to guide instructional decisions.
• Maintain accurate student records grades attendance and required documentation.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams interventionists special education staff instructional coaches and administrators to support student success.
• Foster positive relationships with students families and colleagues while promoting a culture of respect responsibility and high expectations.
• Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times.
• Participate in faculty meetings Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) professional development and school improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Kansas Teaching License.
• Demonstrated successful classroom teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum assessment and instructional practices.
• Excellent communication collaboration organization and leadership skills.

• Bachelorsdegree in Education or related field.
• Experience as a teacher leader or instructional coach.
• Knowledge of the Literacy First Framework.
• Experience facilitating professional development.
• Experience using student achievement data to improve instruction.
• ESOL Endorsement preferred ($500 annual stipend for Kansas ESOL licensed employees).
