Job Summary

Job Title: EKG Tech / ED Tech / Phlebotomist (Travelers Only)
Location: Hyannis MA
Schedule: Day Shift 11:00 AM 11:30 PM 3x12.5 Hour Shifts Every Other Weekend Rotating Holidays
Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Type: Travel Contract

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an EKG Tech / ED Tech / Phlebotomist for an exciting Travel assignment in Hyannis MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Draw blood and collect/transport clinical specimens to the laboratory
  • Perform EKGs Holter monitor placement and stress testing per protocol
  • Verify patient identification prior to specimen collection
  • Instruct patients on proper specimen collection procedures
  • Complete lab documentation cardiac testing records and billing information
  • Document required data accurately in hospital systems and logs
  • Communicate workflow updates order changes and testing requirements to clinical staff
  • Assist nursing units with specimen collection and testing support
  • Maintain PPE compliance and hospital safety standards
  • Handle specimen collection issues and initiate service recovery when needed
  • Maintain clean stocked and organized testing areas
  • Support staff/student orientation and training
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and departmental meetings
  • Ensure efficient and economical use of supplies

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Phlebotomy Certification (PBT) required
  • EKG Certification required
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Acute care hospital experience preferred
  • Strong teamwork and patient care focus required
  • Must be comfortable working rotating weekends and holidays
