Together we are Building A Better the Role:The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting and managing environmental health and safety programs that promote a safe compliant and engaging workplace. This role provides technical guidance partners with leaders and Team Members and drives continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen safety performance and ensure compliance with applicable environmental and safety You Will Do:Coordinate environmental health and safety activities through effective leadership communication and cross-functional coordinate and deliver EHS training for Team Members including new hire orientation and ongoing safety work-related injuries and illnesses analyze trends and data and support the development of corrective actions and safety compliance with applicable federal state and local environmental health and safety and support Safety Team activities including recommendations follow-up actions and accountability for identified routine safety observations audits and workplace inspections ensuring timely and effective emergency evacuation procedures training and practice chemical awareness training and monitor compliance on an ongoing required environmental reports are completed accurately and submitted on time including reporting related to land air water and hazardous waste as pollution prevention programs in accordance with applicable local and manage hazardous waste recycling efforts for recyclable scrap as the ISO 14000 Management Representative as You Need To Be Successful:Working knowledge of environmental and safety standards regulations and best written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage priorities and follow through on problem-solving negotiation and teamwork -minded accountable and results-oriented approach to with Microsoft Office tools including Excel Word PowerPoint and ability to use data to support decision-making identify trends and solve Points If You Have:First Aid or EMS experienceAutomotive experience Education:Bachelors degree or technical certifications in related field preferred not : 3 years of experience in materials material follow up analysis and/or complianceTravel:Travel may be required minimally based on business needsWhat We Offer:We believe our team members are our greatest investment which is why we offer a competitive total rewards package designed to support you at every stage of your career and life.
