DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  1. Support EHS operations and staff to promote a zero-tolerance safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Develop implement and maintain safety programs and initiatives.
  3. Train and support supervisors managers and leadership on health and safety standards and expectations.
  4. Assist with new hire safety orientation employee development and provide safety training for all employees.
  5. Verify and enforce safety policies regulations and company safety protocols throughout the facility.
  6. Participate in incident investigations root cause analysis and follow-up corrective actions.
  7. Manage compliance with the environmental management system (ISO-14001) and applicable manufacturing requirements.
  8. Review current safety procedures and recommend improvements to strengthen workplace safety performance.
  9. Advise and support employees on safety-related topics and promote employee engagement in safety initiatives.
  10. Coordinate and support compliance training plant stand-down meetings and other safety-related communication efforts.
  11. Maintain and monitor safety supplies including earplugs and electrolyte popsicles and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  12. Track upset conditions maintain 6S boards and monitor related activities through Teams.
  13. Distribute track and maintain weekly Gemba audits and 6S audits in Teams.
  14. Lead Safety Team activities including creating agendas facilitating meetings recording attendance and publishing meeting minutes.
  15. Coordinate forklift training testing certification and licensing requirements.
  16. Enter and maintain safety work orders update safety trackers and maintain employee safety files and records.
  17. Conduct daily floor audits and identify opportunities for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  18. Serve as the first point of contact when injuries occur and coordinate employee support as needed.
  19. Provide first aid treatment document incidents in the tracker and meet employees at the ER/Clinic when required.
  20. Coordinate annual hearing tests and schedule emergency preparedness activities including fire and tornado drills.

Proficiency: Ability to support the EHS Department and improve the overall safety of the workplace including timely and accurate completion of tasks logic and reasoning while performing assignments.

Personal Qualities: Cleanliness initiative positive attitude cooperation with others creativity involvement in team activities ability to accept change pride in the job and workplace personal hygiene effective communication decision making and openness to new ideas.

Learned Skills: Demonstrates safety awareness and the ability to locate and retain information to answer questions and make decisions workplace awareness judgment and effective use of time.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Attention to detail apply critical thinking analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Ability to work well as a team and interact with others.
  4. Ability to learn and attend personal training classes.
  5. 2 years of experience in an EHS role.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. OSHA 10 hour Training Course
  2. ISO-14001 Internal Auditor

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:

  1. Ability to work in heat and cold.
  2. Ability to stand or walk 6 hours a day.
