EHR Billing and Configuration Specialist

Endeavor Health Services is seeking an experienced EHR Billing & Configuration Specialist to support our electronic health record (EHR) billing and revenue cycle operations. This position is responsible for system configuration claims processing troubleshooting denial management and end-user support to help ensure accurate billing timely reimbursement and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain EHR and billing system settings including fee schedules charge codes payer rules and insurance information.
• Test system updates patches and configuration changes to identify and prevent billing and claim errors.
• Troubleshoot claim edits NCCI edits payer rejections and clearinghouse issues.
• Prepare review and submit accurate electronic and paper claims to Medicare Medicaid and commercial payers.
• Monitor claims payments denials appeals and accounts receivable aging.
• Investigate and resolve rejected or underpaid claims and submit appeals as needed.
• Maintain workflows for payment and remittance posting.
• Provide EHR and billing system training and technical support to staff.
• Help ensure billing processes comply with HIPAA ICD-10 CPT HCPCS Medicare Medicaid and payer-specific requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus completion of a medical billing/coding program or an associate degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing revenue cycle management healthcare administration or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with EHR and/or medical billing system configuration.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 CPT HCPCS insurance reimbursement and claims processing.
• Experience with claim denials appeals and accounts receivable.
• Strong problem-solving organizational communication and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelors degree in health informatics healthcare administration business or a related field.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certified Coding Specialist (CCS or similar coding certification.
• Experience with behavioral health mental health or substance use billing.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing requirements.
• EHR system configuration credentials or experience.
