Job Summary
Duties:
- Prepares patient for EEG exam applies electrodes to patients head operates and maintains appropriate equipment identifies tracing prepares records.
Skills:
- At least 1 year of EEG Technologist experience
Education:
- #1: High school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a States Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization AND At least 1 year of experience as an Electroencephalograph Technician in a hospital or health care setting OR
- #2: Satisfactory equivalent combination of education training and experience where Certificate of Completion from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) recognized training program. OR
- #3: Graduate from Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited program may be substituted for one (1) year of experience as described in #1 above
- AHA BLS - required
- EEG Certification - required
