Sylvan Learning of Western North Carolina is currently hiring an Educational Site Coordinator. Sylvan Learning provides academic tutoring for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade so that students can get ahead or just get caught up. As a franchise group of 6 centers throughout the WesternCarolinas and the Midlands our mission is to see success with every child. This role is to work with the other team members in the center to put a plan together that achieves success for every child that walks through the doors and ensure the families are engaged. - Certificate or expired Certificate to Teach
- Somewhat quick learner with technical abilities on a laptop learning operational systems and typing at least 35wpm
- Key holder to ensure needs are met to run center daily
- Overall glass half full kind of person
Hourly part-time (15-20 hours a week at initial pay ranging from $13.50-$15 dependent on experience with pay increases after trainings). Paid training. Must have ability to travel to Sylvan of Arden to train and sometimes cover that center as needed. Opportunity to grow within and across multiple centers. Typically two to three weekend mornings as well as 3-4 weekday afternoon/evenings anticipated (usually 2:30pm-6:30pm). Some trainings are during the day virtually so flexibility to attend those and two strategy sessions per year at a site to be determined with possible training in our Sylvan of Greenville Anderson or Spartanburg centersas needed.
