Educational Aide, Little School

Job Description Summary

The Santa Fe College Little School provides early learning experiences and care for children ages 1-5 years. The Little School is a Teacher Training Site for Early Childhood Education students as well as a research and observation site for students in other fields of study who are learning to work effectively with young children. The Little School is seeking Educational Aides with a positive attitude welcoming body language enthusiasm for helping children learn and strong communication skills.

Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

• Provides tender loving care and educational experiences for children of a designated age between 1-5 years.

• Complies with all published College Rules procedures guidelines and laws/regulations governing public employees including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction FERPA and confidentiality.

• Provides service excellence through courteous informed accessible and professional engagement.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Director Little School

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: Must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student in good academic and behavioral standing taking six (6) or more credit hours.

Additional Requirements: A criminal background check and FL Clearinghouse screening will be conducted. For more information on FL Clearinghouse screenings please visit. Additionally Educational Aides must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

Preferred: Early Childhood Education major OR experience working in an Early Learning Center with children ages 1-5 years.
