Were looking for an Education Deputy Advisor to serve within the Office of Assessments Accountability and Analytics as a strategic advisor supporting communication stakeholder engagement and implementation efforts related to statewide assessment and accountability initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of education systems and the ability to translate complex policy assessment and data information into clear actionable resources for diverse audiences. The Education Deputy Advisor will oversee AAA communications publications digital content and stakeholder support systems while collaborating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure information is accurate accessible and responsive to the needs of Louisiana school systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills experience managing complex projects and communications systems and the ability to apply educational knowledge and professional judgment to support statewide implementation efforts. - Minimum Qualifications
Nine years of experience in education teaching or administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience plus six years of experience in education teaching or administrative services; OR
A bachelors degree plus six years of experience in education teaching or administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus five years of experience in education teaching or administrative services.- Job Specification

- Job Duties and Other Information
As an Education Deputy Advisor within the Office of Assessments Accountability and Analytics you will:
- Lead and support communication strategies related to statewide assessment accountability and analytics initiatives to ensure educators families and stakeholders receive clear and actionable information
- Develop review and manage public-facing resources including school report cards parent guides presentations webpages newsletters and stakeholder communications
- Oversee and maintain AAA content on ensuring information is accurate accessible user-friendly and aligned with Department standards
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate complex assessment accountability and policy information into materials that support school system implementation
- Manage communication systems and stakeholder outreach processes including statewide contact lists and dissemination of critical updates to school systems and educators
- Provide strategic guidance and support to office leadership regarding messaging stakeholder engagement and communication planning for AAA initiatives
- Coordinate and manage multiple projects timelines and communication deliverables to support office priorities and statewide implementation efforts
- Support the development and maintenance of accessible digital and print resources that meet branding accessibility and usability standards
- Analyze stakeholder needs and feedback to improve communication tools processes and user experience for educators families and school systems
- Work closely with program staff agency leadership and external partners to ensure communications are aligned responsive and supportive of Louisianas educational priorities
Position-Specific Details:Appointment Type:Probational Promotional or Job Appointment.The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office.Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment if selected.
Work Schedule:Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
**Note regarding the advertised pay range:The Education Deputy Advisor have a special entrance rate (SER) of $33.65 hourly $2692.31 bi-weekly that is above the minimum hire rate for this position.The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make over their career andnotthe maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
