Education Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

The Education Coordinator provides leadership and oversight of educational services to ensure high-quality early childhood instruction and full compliance with Head Start Performance Standards state licensing regulations and Child Care Partnership requirements. This position supports curriculum implementation child assessment school readiness goals instructional coaching and continuous quality improvement across all program sites. The Education Coordinator works collaboratively with site leadership teaching staff and program administration to promote positive child outcomes and maintain program excellence.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Ensure implementation of research-based curriculum with fidelity across Head Start Early Head Start and Child Care Partnership classrooms.
• Monitor compliance with Head Start Performance Standards state early learning guidelines and licensing requirements related to education services.
• Assist with preparation for federal state and local monitoring
• Maintain accurate educational documentation and
• Provide guidance and support in lesson planning and classroom
• Ensure alignment of curriculum with school readiness goals and child development
• Support the integration of developmentally appropriate practices for infants toddlers and preschool-aged children.
• Promote inclusive practices for children with disabilities and dual language
• Oversee ongoing child assessment processes and ensure timely accurate data
• Analyze child outcome data to inform instruction and program
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and monitor school readiness
• Provide data reports and recommendations to program
• Provide instructional coaching and classroom observations to support teacher
• Develop and coordinate professional development plans based on identified
• Support onboarding and mentoring of new teaching
• Facilitate training sessions related to curriculum assessment and instructional best Work closely with Site Supervisors Family Services Disabilities and Mental Health staff to ensure comprehensive services for children and families.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and early childhood best
• Strong understanding of child development (birth to age five).
• Ability to analyze data and use findings to drive instructional
• Strong organizational communication and interpersonal
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and support professional
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and child assessment/data management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed in office and classroom settings across multiple program
• Frequent standing walking observing classrooms and occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds).
• Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for training or
• Local travel between sites
• Must pass required background checks and meet all program health and safety

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development or related field required
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in early childhood education preferably within a Head Start or Early Head Start program.
• Experience with curriculum implementation child assessment systems and instructional
• Supervisory or leadership experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Masters degree
