Job Summary
Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
As our ED Supervisor/Trauma Coordinator youll play a vital role in shaping exceptional trauma care from the moment a patient arrives through every step of their recovery journey. Youll lead the development implementation and continuous improvement of a high-quality cost-effective trauma program that puts patients and their families first. This is a dynamic leadership role where youll work both independently and alongside the Trauma Program Medical Director physicians nursing leaders and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure outstanding patient outcomes regulatory excellence and a culture of collaboration.

- Provides for the clinical needs of trauma patients both directly and indirectly.
- Acts as a consultant provides expertise in trauma care to nurses pre-hospital providers and other health care professionals.
- Assists in the development of nursing standards of care for trauma patients in collaboration with appropriate disciplines.
- Serves as a resource in the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of nursing gcare in the clinical departments.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals in providing continuity of care to trauma patients and families from admission through discharge.
- Observes practice and investigates methods of delivering nursing care.
Education:
- Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
Experience:
- One-to-two years experience as an Emergency Department staff nurse.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence.
- BLS ACLS TNCC PALS ENPC
